When purchasing goods or services the law protects people’s rights against being treated unfairly or when things go wrong. This includes faulty goods, switching energy or utility supplier, poor service, problems with contracts, mis-sold goods or services, builders and rogue traders.
You are entitled to complain if your rights have been breached.
If goods are damaged, faulty or unsafe you can complain.
You may also complain if you feel that goods are not appropriate for the purpose for which you bought them, or that they do not fit the description given.
When buying something, you and the seller make a contract. The contract is between you and the seller, not between you and the manufacturer.
If you have a valid complaint, you have the right to have the problem sorted out. It may be necessary to take some positive steps, but don’t worry, we are here to help.
